Constructed ca. 1909; rehabilitated as condominiums 1983. Henry Oliver, contractor. A series of buildings formerly occupied this site, including a double tenement of four stories, another four story structure, and a corner two-story building, damaged in the earthquake of 1886. By the late-19th century these had been used as a hotel, a restaurant, a billiard parlor, and upper-floor residences. Walker, Evans, and Cogswell, engravers and stationers in the offices next door at 117 East Bay Street and around the block at 3 Broad Street, built this as their new printing plant by 1909.
